I am a foodie and when you are a foodie, you pay attention to every little detail about the Unique restaurants you visit often or even for the first time. It’s hard to be a foodie and picky at the same time. It would be better if we can have a pretty view while dining out.

There was a time when people used to dive underwater but now we have an option of underwater dining too. So tighten your seatbelts and brace yourselves for this amusing virtual journey to the most unique restaurants in the world.

1. Ithaa Restaurant, Maldives

Let’s start with the Maldives. As we all know that the Maldives is one of the most exciting places on earth filled with exotic beaches and tourist attractions. But have you ever heard about Unique restaurants? This beautiful and unique restaurant Ithaa is in the Maldives and Its meaning is ‘mother of pearl.’ The reason for its being on the top is It’s design and great food. It is 4.8 meters below sea level btw so you can imagine yourself locked up in an aquarium. I would suggest you add this unique restaurant to your bucket list as soon as possible because we have other Unique restaurants on the list too.

Ithaa has minimum seating and there should be only 14 guests at a time in this underwater restaurant. There is a spiral staircase that will help you to reach down at the unique restaurants. It is part of the Maldives Rangali resort.

2. Polignano A Mare, Italy

Next on the list is Italy with its beautiful and unique Restaurant Polignano A Mare. This restaurant is built in a cave so if you want to become a caveman for a day, it isn’t a bad option. 4. The Rock Restaurant, Zanzibar

So this hotel is located on the Michanwi Pingwe beach. The huge rock, posited in the water, was used as the base for the cozy restaurant. It can be reached by walking, swimming or a canoe. Once you reach there you will know why it is said to be the best tourist attraction spot. Seafood is their specialty which is always delicious and fresh.

5. Ninja New York—New York City, USA

Now we have this Ninja New york and as the name shows there might be something interesting in it. There is a review by Frank Bruni in the New York Times that describes Ninja New York as “a kooky, dreary subterranean labyrinth… You are greeted there by servers in black costumes who ceaselessly bow, regularly yelp, and ever so occasionally tumble.” The infrastructure and design make it look like a 15th-century Japanese feudal village full of dark nooks and snaking passageways, just call it Japanese fare mixed with martial arts flair at its best.

6. Northern Lights Bar In Ion Hotel, Iceland

I am the biggest fan of the northern lights and I’ll pay every price just to visit this beautiful and unique restaurants once in a lifetime. The restaurant is awarded many prizes such as Global Future Design Awards Interior Design’s Best of Year Awards – Greater World: Environmental Impact American Architecture Awards BUILD Architecture Awards (Most Innovative Sustainable Residential Architecture Practice) and much more.

7. Aiguille Du Midi Restaurant 3842 m, Chamonix, France

Moving on to France for a French dining experience. If you want to experience dining between the mountains and especially at the peak of mont blanc this one is for you! This is the closest one can get to the summit of Mont Blanc without trekking or hiking. The food is great, the view is great. What else do you need? It is the highest mountain peak served by an aerial lift system. The name translates literally to “Needle of the Mid-day”

8. El Diablo “The Devil”

I don’t know what it’s like to taste food made in a volcano. But if you want to experience that, this is for you. El Diablo is the most different and unique restaurant on the list because of the techniques that’ve been used to make food. The chefs at the El Diablo Restaurant on the island of Lanzarote have a one-of-a-kind kitchen: a volcanic hole in the ground. How hot can your food get? Because it’s been cooking in a volcano.

9. In The Eiffel Tower, Paris, France

If you have ever been to Paris but could not spare time to visit the Eiffel tower then I feel sad for you because it’s not only the asset of the city but you can feel the essence too. However, only Le Jules Verne reservation holders get a chance to wine and dine from inside the tower but it’s not hard to get reservations. You may need to book a few weeks in advance and make a note of where you’d like to sit. Boasting an esteemed Michelin star, it certainly beats the half-eaten baguette you’ve been toting around all day.

10. The Labassin Waterfall Restaurant, Philippines

Waterfall and dining. What a perfect combination. This unique restaurant is located in San Pablo in the Philippines and a part of Villa Escudero Resort. Food is served on bamboo tables while you can soak your feet in the cold waters of Labassin waterfall.

11. Ice Restaurant, United Arab Emirates

Living in a city that is mostly hot unless it’s raining. I would definitely love to visit this unique restaurant entirely made of ice. Seeing UAE on the list may not surprise you because it is famous for many reasons and one of them is Ice Restaurant. We know how hot the UAE can get and that is why this restaurant exists. If you want to have a chilling sensation in hot weather, pay a visit to this restaurant but don’t forget to keep a warm jacket with you because you know why!

12. Snow Castle Restaurant in Finland

So we talked about volcanoes therefore it’s time to mention Snow Castle made entirely out of snow or ice but don’t worry because food is not! But you need to finish your food as soon as possible because it might get cold too fast due to snow and ice. The restaurant and cave is rebuilt every winter!
